
Creative Director
David Ring brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry as an owner, advisor, merchant banker, and principal of a broker dealer. Prior to Broadsmoore, Mr. Ring was a co-founder of Whitehaven, an investor in legal claims and lawsuits that advanced money to litigants to fund their pending legal claims. At Whitehaven, Mr. Ring was responsible for over $200 million in case investments, collections and receivables. He was in charge of overseeing over 10,000 case investments, financial modeling and reporting, asset protection, infrastructure, and operations. Prior to co-founding Whitehaven, Mr. Ring was a partner in Knightsbridge Equities where he was responsible for risk management, operations, technology infrastructure, trade clearing and execution, financial reporting and business continuity. During Mr. Ring’s tenure, the company grew from a single New York office to a presence in eight cities globally. During his career, Mr. Ring has also advised companies with respect to acquisitions, business combinations, operations, valuation and pricing, deal structuring, alternative financing, and general financial advice and implementation.
Abraxas Discala brings over 20 years of experience in merchant banking, principal investing and financial advisory to TBG. Mr. Discala began his career at his family’s real estate firm, DiScala Fairfield, which was eventually sold to Grubb & Ellis in 1989, providing the firm with a strong foothold in the highly coveted Northeast market. Continuing his real estate endeavors, AJ subsequently worked at Carson Crane and Alliance Partners. Mr. Discala then joined TJM Institutional Services as a bond broker in 1996. During his three years with the Chicago based institution, he raised capital for their hedge fund and provided coverage for the US Treasury bond market. Prior to forming The Broadsmoore Group, Mr. Discala served as Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Calico Capital Group, LLC, a New York and Los Angeles based merchant banking and advisory firm that focused on the unique needs of small to mid-cap emerging growth companies. Mr. Discala brought his access to a robust pipeline of potential clients and investment opportunities to Calico. During his tenure, Mr. Discala was responsible for over 50 transactions ranging from $2 million to more than $200 million. The firm built a portfolio of promising companies based on its ability to not only provide capital, but to assemble quality management teams and build brand names quickly and efficiently through Mr. Discala’s extensive connections in various industries. Throughout his career in financial services, Mr. Discala has advised on over $1 billion in secured debt, equity, and mezzanine financing transactions across a broad spectrum of industries.
Brent has an extensive track record in both his private and public sector work in economic development including job creation and preservation. Prior to Broadsmoore, Brent served as Sourtheast regional manager of Able Body labor. In that capacity, he oversaw the company’s response to the BP oil spill and the deployment of over a thousand workers per day. Prior to that, he served as Corporate Lobbyist and during that tenure, secured over $200 million worth of Economic Development Grants that created over 3,000 jobs. Brent made history in 2003 by becoming the youngest councilman ever elected in Lafourche Parish. During Brent’s tenure, the Council approved over $25 million in road improvements, secured initial funding for the Leon Theriot Lock Project, and administered construction of six new libraries parish-wide. Following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Brent worked with the Parish Administration, First Responders, Drainage Districts and Levee Districts to enhance Lafourche’s preparedness for future storms. Brent graduated from Nicholls in the top 1% of his class and with a double Bachelor’s degree in Government and History. He was also inducted into the Nicholls State University Hall of Fame.
Dounya brings over 5 years of marketing experience with her. She started at Ralph Lauren Home as Advertising Manager overlooking the media plans furthermore her position involved major operational responsibilities.
After only 2 years, Dounya was appointed Marketing and Business Development Director. She covered Europe, Russia and Middle East as a market and oversaw a number of key launches and major successes. This success was achieved thanks to a targeted multi-brand strategy.
Dounya holds a BA in Economics from the Aix-en-Provence, France University and graduated from one of France’s top Business School ESCP-EAP with a Master degrees in Business and Marketing.
